Welcome to the Directorate of Human Resources at Iconic University! We are excited to provide you with information on our various units and leadership roles, as well as the services and resources we offer to our university community.

The Directorate of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management at Iconic University. Our mission is to attract, develop, and retain a diverse and talented workforce that is committed to the university’s vision and values.

The following are the units within our Directorate:

1. Recruitment, Appointment and Promotion Unit: This unit is responsible for managing the recruitment and selection process for all faculty, staff, and administration positions at the university. They work closely with hiring managers to ensure that the recruitment process is fair, transparent, and in compliance with university policies and procedures. This unit has the following sub-units; (a) Academic Staff Sub-Unit and (b) Administrative Staff Sub-Unit 

2. Staff Training & Development Unit: This unit is dedicated to supporting the professional growth and development of our employees. They organize training programs, workshops, and other learning opportunities to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of our employees.

3. Compensation and Benefits Unit: This unit is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of staff compensation and benefits programmes. They ensure that our employees are fairly compensated for their work and have access to competitive benefits packages.

4. Staff Relations Unit: This unit acts as a liaison between employees and the university administration. They handle all employee grievances, disputes, and complaints in a fair and confidential manner. They also provide guidance and support for employee relations issues and promote a positive work culture.

5. Performance Management Unit: This unit oversees the university’s performance management system, which includes setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback and development opportunities to employees.

In addition to these units, our Directorate is also led by a team of dedicated and experienced leaders. The Director of Human Resources (Deputy Registrar) oversees the overall operations of the Directorate and reports directly to the university’s senior management. The Deputy Director (Assistant Registrar) provides support to the Director and also leads the different units within the Directorate.

We also have a team of Human Resources Business Partners who work closely with different departments and units across the university to provide customized human resources solutions and support.
