B.Sc. Public Administration
The B.Sc. in Public Administration programme focuses on the study of public policy and management. It equips students with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively manage government agencies, international organizations, non–profit organizations, and other public sector organizations. The programme combines theoretical training with practical experience, allowing students to learn how to design, implement, and evaluate public policies. The curriculum also covers topics such as public finance, budgeting, public law, social policy, and organizational behavior. Through experiential learning, internships, and fieldwork, students gain the insights and experience they need to navigate the complexities of public sector management.
1. Provide basic knowledge and skills needed for the understanding and analysis of problems related to the management and administration of public and private sector organisations.
2. Produce high level personnel that can contribute to the development of administrative practices through research and publications.
3. Equip students with knowledge and skills of decision making; especially the analytical skills needed for recognising, defining and solving problems.
4. Develop in students, leadership and interpersonal relations skills in administration.
5. develop in student entrepreneurial skills and competencies to adequately prepare them to be innovative in job creation, provide training aimed at improving and upgrading the existing and potential manpower needed for national development, and
6. Produce personnel that is competent to manage complex relations in the ever-changing bureaucracy and growing business environment
B.Sc. Public Administration is a degree programme that prepares students for a range of careers in the public sector. Graduates of a B.Sc. Public Administration programme can find jobs in local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as in nonprofit organizations, public policy research centres, and consulting firms. Careers in public administration can include positions as public administrators, policy analysts, budget analysts, research analysts, public relations specialists, and lobbying representatives.
Public administrators are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of government agencies, while policy analysts conduct research and develop policy recommendations. Budget analysts are responsible for developing and maintaining budgets, while research analysts conduct research that helps inform policy decisions. Public relations specialists are responsible for creating communication campaigns that inform the public about government initiatives, while lobbying representatives work on behalf of organisations to influence policy decisions.

Admission into Iconic University for bachelor’s degree does not require JAMB result, but candidates will be asked to get a JAMB regularization number upon successful admission in order to be used for his/her NYSC at the time of graduation.
- 100 Level (Freshman)
- Five (5) credits pass in WAEC, NECO, NBAIS, or similar bodies as recognized. The credit passes must include English Language, and Mathematics, Government or Civic Education or History, Economics and any other social sciences or art subjects at not more than two sittings.
- Five (5) merits in NABTEB or Teachers Grade Two examinations in Management or Social Science subjects. Also, the credit passes must include English Language, and Mathematics.
- 200 Level (Sophomores)
- The Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with a merit pass in English Language in addition to a credit pass in Economics/Accounting/Business Admin/Public Admin.
- National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting/Banking and Finance/Insurance/Taxation/Actuarial Science from reputable institutions with a minimum of Lower Credit.
- GCE Advance level with at least two credit passes.
- OND with evidence of proficiency in Public Admin/Accounting/Business Admin/Banking and Finance.
- Certificate in Public Admin or the equivalent from a recognised university in addition to three O’ Level papers in Management or Social Sciences, including credit pass in English Language, and Mathematics.
- First degree (B.Sc.) in Accounting, Business Admin, Entrepreneurship, or Economics.
Iconic University charges modest fees that give learners the chance to pay per semester only. Nigerian candidates seeking admission will pay an application fee of N10,000 and $30 would be paid by international applicants.
